Caroline and the Doggy Door

One of the major milestones for both of my children has been the discovery of the doggy door.  Both Anna and Jack took great pride in figuring out how our puppies magically disappeared and reappeared through that door.  Well, this time it was Caroline's turn!  She stayed with us on the Monday after the party and I was so excited to get these pics of her in such a similar pose!

Brrrrr! It's Cold!

The day after the big party, the beautiful 65-degree weather turned into cold and rain and eventually snow!  That afternoon, we had the front door open and Jack let us know he wanted to go outside.  We were trying to tell him that it was cold.  He and Mimi got into the biggest giggle fit.
He would touch the glass on the door...

...then say "Brrrr!"

Mimi would say "Brrrr! It's cold!"
and both of them would bust out laughing.

They did this over and over...

...and over again for at least 3 or 4 minutes.  Jack was so tickled!

Jack and Caroline's 1st Birthday Party

Caroline and Jack got to celebrate their first birthdays together!  We figured it would be easier for our family to travel one time to celebrate both birthdays since they are only a month apart.  So February 18th was the day and it was perfect.  The weather was perfect, having the whole family (Mimi, Papa, Jeffro + his fam, Greg + Michelle, plus Oie and his family!) running around was perfect, and the party itself couldn’t have gone any better.  Everyone was playing outside for a while and then it was time for pizza, a GREAT cake show with precious smash cakes made by Uncle Jason, and opening a few gifts!  Thanks, everyone, for making that such a great day!!

Thank you, everyone, for such a great and special day!
And thanks to Sarah for letting me copy and paste most of her blog post to make mine! :)

Random Cuteness

What is it about a bowl and a spoon that makes them so much fun?

Charlie's 1st Birthday Party

On Saturday, we loaded the car and headed to Raleigh for the day for Charlie's 1st birthday party.  Will's best friend, Block, and Talley had their first little boy, Charlie, just two weeks after Jack was born.  The daddies have already destined them freshman roommates at Carolina!  It is really fun to see them grow up together.  Talley had picked a barnyard theme for Charlie's party and it was so cute!  There were bails of hay on the deck for seats and bandanas everywhere.  The cake was a barn and Charlie's smash cake was a cow!

On the way to Charlie's, we stopped by Oren's house to see
Mimi for a few minutes.  She had to get a pic of Anna and Jack.

We attempted to get the boys together in a picture...

...but didn't get as far as we had hoped.  But still cute!

Anna helped Charlie get his cowboy hat on.

The kids had fun on Charlie's new swing set.

Jack's 1st Birthday Party

We had Jack's birthday party on Saturday, February 4th.  We had decorated the house and were ready for family and friends to come share in our special day.

On Etsy, I found this woman who does personalized decorations
to go with the "1st birthday boy" paper products from Party City.

Aren't they cute?
