New Year's Eve

Anna was determined to stay up and see the ball drop this year.  And she did it!!  I think the sparkling cider helped. ;) It was a special night with our girl!

A Spontaneous Trip to Wilmington

This is one of the most spontaneous things I've ever done!!! Mimi called once they got back to Wilmington because she realized that she left her medicine at our house. She wanted me to overnight it to her. After pondering things for a few minutes, I thought "Why don't we just take it to her?"  The kids were out of school and we had no plans before New Year's.  Plus, I had not been home in months.  Will looked at me and said, "You should go!" (Bless him and kiss his face!) So I ran upstairs and started packing, threw everything in the car, fed Drew, loaded the kiddos, and hit the road. It was absolutely crazy but felt so good when I pulled into the driveway at home!!!  And where do you want to go when you go home to Wilmington?  THE BEACH!!!

Mimi can always get a smile and a story out of a grandbaby!
Smiles galore

Talking to Papa
One the way home, we used my friend Melissa's as a pit stop to feed Drew and to meet their newest little one, Ellis.  Perfect!
