Jack's 1st Birthday Party

We had Jack's birthday party on Saturday, February 4th.  We had decorated the house and were ready for family and friends to come share in our special day.

On Etsy, I found this woman who does personalized decorations
to go with the "1st birthday boy" paper products from Party City.

Aren't they cute?

The highchair is ready for all the birthday festivities!

The One Year Comparison

Jack Turns One!

Jack turned a big ONE year old on Wednesday, February 1st.  Where has the time gone?  I still cannot believe it has been a year already.  We were excited to celebrate our big birthday boy!

Anna stayed for lunch bunch so that Mommy and Jack
could have a special lunch together.

My two favorite foods--blueberries and cooked carrots!

Anna and I spent the afternoon making a special birthday cake for
Jack.  She was convinced that it HAD to have a pink #1 on it!
After nap time, we headed over to Lauren Hutchinson's to take one year photos.  I was so excited about being able to get them done on the actual day.  I can't wait to see the results!  Afterwards, we met Daddy at the mall so that we could continue our family tradition of riding a merry-go-round for the first time on the first birthday.

Anna's ready to go, but Jack's not so sure.

Wheeeeee!

Hey Daddy!

Still taking it all in...

Then we came home and Jack opened his birthday present.

Or was he the present?

Here, Daddy, I'll share some with you!

Jack's First UNC Basketball Game

Sunday afternoon, we loaded the kids up and headed to Chapel Hill for the UNC/Georgia Tech game.  It was one of two games the entire season that would work time-wise for the kids to go.  Nannie and Pops were so sweet to let us have the tickets so we could go as a family.  The kids did great and the Heels won!  Jack was expectedly overwhelmed and jumped whenever there was a loud noise.  He never cried, but several times he just buried his head into my chest as if to say, "This is too much, Mommy!" After halftime and a hotdog for dinner, Jack and I walked on the concourse for a while and made our way to the Chapel Hill Sportswear store.  Jack had to have his first Carolina basketball!:)  We left Chapel Hill at bedtime, so we changed the kids into PJs and they slept on the way home.  Nice!

"What is going on in here?"
