Since I have done a less-than-stellar job of keeping up with the blog lately, I feel like I need to do a couple of individual updates to catch up with who the kids are these days…
Jack is so sweet, partly mischievous, always on the go, up early EVERY SINGLE MORNING, and just down right hilarious. He has an easy-going personality that is so dang cute. He will talk to absolutely anyone. We ran into our pastor while out for dinner the other night and Jack talked his head off. Before he walked away, Dr. Don said, "That boy is going to be something else!" Yes, we know!!;)
He is a bit of a destructor, damaging pretty much everything he touches. This makes things a little strained between him and Anna right now, since all he wants is to play with her and she likes everything just so. But they absolutely adore each other when they're not fighting.;) He still loves the 3 T's (trucks, trains, and tractors), with all construction equipment falling into the "tractor" category. We have sat many an hour watching the tractors at construction sites.

He has grown so much!! He is wearing 5T shirts, 4T bottoms and is still in size 6 diapers. He has absolutely ZERO interest in potty training at 3 and 1/2, so we are trying to be patient.
He has done absolutely fabulously with his hearing aids and his speech has improved so much since he started wearing them. Sadly for his mama, many of his cute little baby words and pronunciations have disappeared.:( But I know that is good!
He has started wanting to do some of the things he sees Sissy doing, so has recently learned how to write his name, along with some other letters, and is really catching on to this whole numbers and math thing. He counts things constantly and has started doing addition and subtraction with Anna and his daddy.
He is all about some football. He will put on his UNC helmet and jersey and want to play tackle football in the middle of the den with with his daddy. Everything and anything becomes "football guys" and he will line them up opposing each other and they will play and "score" on each other. It is so stinkin' cute! This started out with UNC football helmet light covers that go on a string of Christmas lights but since then he has used Sissy's math flash cards, Keurig K-cups, toy cars, and candy corn to be football guys. And he can relay every single detail of our trips to the UNC football games. This boy doesn't miss much.;)
If I'm not up yet when he comes downstairs first thing in the morning, he will crawl into bed with me and cuddle for a few minutes before getting up to go play. This is one of my favorite parts of the day! Some mornings, if I don't cuddle quite tight enough, he'll say, "Mommy, you put yours arms around me and I'll put my arms around you and we can squeeze." So sweet!!

Here are some of his current cute and hilarious sayings:
* Wash car (car wash)
* Blanklet (he has always added that extra "l" to blanket)
* Bunt (for button--"Let me push the bunt!")
* Bunt (for button--"Let me push the bunt!")
* "My bunny rabbit waked up!" (every morning when he is in our room at 6:02 am after his night light alarm has switched to "awake"--we have tried so many times to move it back but he won't have it)
* "It's just me!" (when he comes up behind you and wallops you with a bat or sword or whatever, as if you didn't know)
* Booshy-booshy (said at various times, not sure exactly what it means)
* I need to ask you two more "one more questions". (trying to stall at bedtime when I've told him "one more question")
* While driving down the road, if he sees an overpass, he will yell out to everyone to "dunk your head" as we go under. There is no telling what we look like to those cars around us!
He is just so BOY and so SWEET all rolled into one. He keeps us on our toes and keeps us laughing. We are so glad you are part of this family, Jack!! We love you so very much!!
